Unlike most games Robotrek makes full use of all the buttons of the SNES controller.

^ D Pad | Moving around and moving the cursor. |
^ Select | Brings up the menu. \\ Rearranges items in your inventory. \\ Switches view points in the world map. \\ Switches robots in battle. |
^ Start | Pause the game. |
^ A | Interact with an object or person, or, search a spot. |
^ B | Cancel selection and close current window. \\ Erase a letter when entering names. \\ Sprint. \\ Charges attack bar faster. |
^ X | Open the menu. \\ Back weapon attack.|
^ Y | Use selected item. |
^ L | Mostly the same as **A**. \\ Used to program robots. \\ Left hand weapon attack. |
^ R | Cycle through windows in the menu screen. \\ Used to program robots. \\ Right hand weapon attack. |
