Effects
The hero's weapons and the enemies attacks may have additional effects.

Confusion
Your robot starts wandering around uncontrollably. E.g. exposing his back to enemies taking more damage that way. It usually lasts two rounds.
Shield 3 is said to grant immunity to Confusion.
Corrosion
Think of it as poison. Your robot takes damage every 10 seconds until cured by applying Clean to the robot, or the robot breaks down.
Shield 2 is said to grant immunity to Corrosion.
Damage taken by corrosion is 2 + 1/16 of current health, but not more than 65 points at a time.
Critical hits
When a critical hit is landed, 50% more damage is dealt. Critical hits can be blocked, but ignore speed and hit rate. The final damage is still affected by the guard stat.
Disable
The Disable effect can disable everything from the attack menu
- Left attack (range)
- Right attack (melee)
- Back attack (bomb)
- RUN command
- Escape battle
- Player interaction / using items
There are variants of the Disable that target a single entry like Disable RUN. But there is also a variant that picks one of the above at random.
Disable random picks one weapon at 2/9 each, and RUN, escape and item use at 1/9 each.
Drain
Life stealing. The amount of damage dealt to the opponent equals the amount of health healed of the attacker.
Elements
There are four elemental damage classes in the game
- Fire
- Ice
- Lightning
- Laser (don't ask)
Elemental weapons have one of the above affinities. Enemies can have resistance or even immunises to a certain element, or elements in general.
Knockback
The target is send across the battle field to the last tile.
Shield 1 grants immunity.
Stop
Enemy attacks can disable your robot's movement. If in that state, he can no longer move on the battle field, including switching rows. However, he can still use ranged weapons and bombs.
